How to extend a booking your GoGet trip if you are running late or plans change

You can extend your booking while it's active, or within 20 minutes after it ends (if you still need extra time).

Extending a booking via the App or Website

  • Go to Bookings in the app and select the booking you'd like to extend
  • Tap Extend Booking
  • Either use the "+30 mins" button to add time in increments of 30 minutes, or click the pencil icon to see date & time options
  • Click "Modify Booking" to confirm

Can’t extend your booking?

There are three reasons why you might not be able to extend your booking:

  • Another member has a booking immediately after yours. If this is the case, and you will not be able to return the car on time, please call us immediately on 1300 769 389. You may be liable for late return fines if another member is inconvenienced.
  • Your booking has already ended and more than 20 minutes have passed
  • Your default payment method doesn't have sufficient funds available. Please check your payment method and try again.

Bring your booking forward

If your booking hasn't started yet, it's super easy to extend your booking, both to bring your start date forward and your return date back.

  • Go to Bookings in the app and select the booking you'd like to extend
  • Tap Modify Booking
  • Click the pencil icon to edit the start and/or end time
  • Click Modify Booking to confirm

Extending a booking after it's finished

Has your booking ended, but you still need more time?

  • You can extend the booking within 20 minutes after the scheduled end time. If this window has passed, you will incur a late return fine.
