Location surcharges for certain areas

What is a location surcharge and why do some areas have an extra surcharge due to their premium location

Some pods (parking bays) carry a location surcharge. These are typically in high-cost areas and are passed on to users to cover extra operating expenses.

We apply location surcharges in two main scenarios:

1. Commercial car parks
   Pods located in commercial car parks often incur higher fees. To operate there sustainably, we include a surcharge.
2. Premium council / suburb zones
   In certain councils or localities, the local council charges higher rates to GoGet for dedicated carshare only parking. Dedicated GoGet bays in these areas, therfore, have a location surcharge to offset those higher costs.

The vast majority of GoGet pods don’t have location surcharges.

How do I know which locations have a Location Surcharge

The app and website will display a Location Surcharge badge below the car name.

How do I know how much my booking will cost?

The minimum booking cost will be displayed before you confirm your booking. If you click on the booking amount, it will show you a breakdown of how the cost is calculated, including the location surcharge amount.
