How to dispute a fine
Disputing a fine you don't believe should apply
Fines from Enforcing Authorities
If a Member incurs a fine from an Enforcing Authority (such as the Police, Council etc), GoGet will notify the Member responsible via email. A $25 admin fee from GoGet will be added to the total amount of the fine to cover the administrative cost of allocating the fine and signing a statutory declaration.
Examples of fines include:
- Speeding fines taken from speed cameras
- Red light cameras
- Parking fines allocated after your booking has ended (for example, if you return the car in the pod parked in the wrong direction, or park in a timed no stopping zone)
- Overdue parking fines
If (after reviewing the email) you don't believe that the fine should apply to you, you can dispute it. To dispute a fine, you will need to be take it up with the Enforcing Authority who issued it in the first place. GoGet cannot dispute the fine for you, as the fine is between the driver and the Enforcing Authority.
