Corolla Hybrids have a very quiet engine, and sometimes people mistake them for being turned off already when they're not.

⚠️ You must make sure that any car returned to its pod is turned off.

If left on:

  • The system might miscalculate when you ended your booking, resulting in extra fees.
  • The battery might get drained by the time the next member goes to use the car.

How do I know that the Corolla is turned off?

There are two lights that should be OFF if the Corolla is turned off.

  1. The "READY" light: If you can see the "READY" light, the Corolla is still ON.
  2. On the information panel next to the spedometer, if you see "IGNITION ON" or "ACCESSORY", then the car is still ON.

How to turn off the Corolla

To turn off the corolla:

  • Park it in a safe space, such as its pod or a parking spot.
  • Switch the gear to "P" for park.
  • Activate the parking brake, located near the gearstick. When the parking brake is on, this light will be seen on the instrument cluster:
  • Press the ignition switch to power the car off.
  • ⚠️ CHECK: If the "READY", "IGNITION ON" and "ACCESSORY" indicators are off on the instrument panel, then the car is definitely off.
